The New James Bond

“Bond. James Bond.” I thrill at those three words! Memories of a pubescent 12 year old reading her dad’s Ian Fleming novels and imprinting on the ultimate male. Bond - James Bond.
What a surprise. . . I loved the movie! Cool! Cool in a way movies haven’t been in a long time. I am predicting a new fashion craze - the hand-held defribillator!

Anyway; if you want some fairly cheap, complete escapism with a little style and bit of dry humour, it is a lot of fun! At the very least, Daniel Craig has got some splendid thighs!

Prairie Home Companion

Did I love it? No. Did I like it? Yes! Alot!

I love Robert Altman. Since the early days of McCabe and Mrs. Miller, (Pain and sorrow . . . ) through MASH, Nashville, A Wedding (my favourite) and The Player, Altman remains one of my favouyrite directors. What a geniius. Can you imagine a director who actually stages scenes and people in conversation in the way that they actually speak. You know, People do not always wait for silence to flap their gums!

Napoleon Dynamite - Gosshhh!

The top ten signs that you are not the most popular guy in high school.

American Psycho

“Do you like Huey Lewis and the News?”.
I make no apologies for loving this movie. The eighties were scary and Patrick Bateman is the ultimate anti-hero of that time.
This is the business card scene and my personal favourite. Christian Bale was magnificent. Watch his jaw.
